NATE!!!

Nate is in the marching band at West Jordan HS, and plays the melaphone (the marching version of the french horn). He loves band and it quite literally takes up all his spare time. He's brown as a nut on his legs, arms, and face -- and white as snow everywhere else -- from all the time he's spent in the sun practicing.

Saturday (9/27) was the first day of competition season. WJHS competed against 4 other bands in the 3A division. Nate said he hoped they'd take at least 3rd, but wasn't holding his breath. Well, they didn't take 3rd. They did, however, take 2nd! This is great news, and means they're just going to get better from here. Everything will culminate in a competition on tour in November. So, fingers crossed.
